Invasion of Duro

The planet Duro had remained peaceful so far in the conflict that that was starting to spread through the galaxy. That is until the SRA noticed that it would be a benefical planet to it's growing empire. Duro was a core planet, and had many orbiting cities and shipyards around it. Those would be helpful in creating a larger fleet for the SRA. The planet itself was pretty desolate and not very suitibale for life, but it mainly had food processing plants. Robots don't need food, but they could give it to their sith allies, and sell it for their own profits. Duro was not directly protected by the Republic, but because of its importance the planet and a good amount of space around it was defenended by forces under General Laserbeak. Laserbeak got his name because of his long nose which is joked about to be sharper than a lightsaber.

The invasion was launched from Correlia which the Sith and SRA had recently taken. The SRA had a large fleet prepared because Duro and the Realm of Laserbeak were well defended. Before the main invasion, the SRA sent in some special operations teams to do reconisance and sabotage some vital supply storages. By hiding in carboard boxes just like the ones used to store the supplies, the elite robot teams were shipped to their destinations undetected. Once they arrived they placed explosives which would detinate right as the main invasion began so that the Duro forces would not expect anything. After the elite teams finished planting the explosives and doing recon, they disguised themselves among the ship-building robot slaves as they waited for the invasion to begin.

The defence forces of Dura did not notice the invasion until the SRA fleet came into orbit and began blockading the planet. In their command battle tactical strategy war planning headcourters of defence room, the Duro officers on duty immediatly summoned Laserbeak when they saw that they were being invaded. Laserbeak blasted into the room and at first was too suprised to say anything. He was mad. After about a minute he began screaming, "What is going on here!!!!!11!1!one!!1!!1! No one invades my realm! Get the army and kick their sorry donkey/butts out of here."

Not listening to general Laserbeak, the minister of diplomacy, Tazerbeak, began to try to establish communications with the SRA fleet. "Welcome to the planet Duro, invaders. We would kindly ask you to put away all weapons before you can tour our planet. We will not accept you permanently and assume you are just here as turists. Otherwise we could make exceptions for some of you if you wanted to stay here and get good paying jobs as long as you promise not to break too many of our laws here."
Tazerbeak had not quite finnished when Laserbeak cut him off, reminding him that this was a war beginning. He then pulled a lightsaber out of his nose and chopped Tazerbeak in half. Now that everyone in the room was frightened, they returned to thier frantic work and began organizing the army.

During that whole dilema, the SRA had made some quick advances before the Duro forces were organized. The sabotage bombs exploded, which destroyed some vital equiptmen that the Duro forces could have used. They then began simultaneously deploying landing ships full of robots, and bombading Duro defence structures from capital ships.

Though they initially were cought off guard, the Duro forces were soon able to counter attack. Fighters from both sides were flying through the polluted sky and around the numerous orbiting space stations, while destroyed fighters fell to the planet below in pieces of flaming metal. One by one, the orbinting space stations were taken over by SRA robots who easilly defeated the few defenders that were on most. Some other space stations, especially the military ones were more difficult to take.

After most of the space stations had been occupied by the SRA, they began to assault the main defence station where Lazerbeak was commanding his minions from. The fighting was fierce, but the Duro forces stood little chance against the vast numbers of robots destroying every possible form of resistance on sight. The defence station was turning into a flaming wreckage as the battle progressed. Before the SRA robots had reached the command room, the door to it was cautiosly opened by what the occupants expected to be a squad of elite robots. Instead, Cardbot waddled inside and nervously closed the door behind it.
"I would like to appologize for the damages created by your friendly invaders." He said.
"Who do you think you are?" Questioned Lazerbeak angrily.
"I am..." Cardbot began to reply but was unable to finnish his statement because Laserbeak jammed his nose through the cardboard exoseleton, which permanently destroyed Cardbot until he would be revived in some later adventure by using codes.

Just after that, Laserbeak thought he should escape because things weren't looking too good, so he jumped into an escape pod and fled to some unknown planet. Not too long after that, the SRA had complete control of the station along with the rest of the planet Duro. Though they had taken the command station, the battle left almost noting useable on it, so after the robots were all off of it, they blew it up with a laser from one of their large capital ships.
