Vala stood on edge in the deep and miserable forest floor of the shadowlands. Her gun was raised as she continued to look all around for any sign of creatures or her master. With Vala was a battalion of mercenaries who were just as unhappy as she was for being here. Their guns too were raised all of them were on constant alert, they had been at their camp for almost a week killing numerous creatures who were bold enough to enter their encampment, thankfully they suffered only a few casualties.
Tiberian had been gone the last two days with his sith followers including Argon, Tiberian would engage in meditation for hours on end hoping to uncover the last part of his plan. In which he knew he would need in his war against the republic, not knowing it only made him more frustrated than ever.
"Vala we got something over here" whispered one of the mercenaries.
Vala quickly turned around to see that all of the mercenaries attentions were focused now at the same spot. "On my word" she whispered raising her gun the others soon followed; they could hear the sound of many footsteps. Then there was silence and out of the darkness came two glowing orange orbs, Vala sighed lowering her gun. "Sparky! WE almost shot you!"
Several patrol droids walked into view, they were over six feet tall, draped in black and silver armor while on the left chest were the initials C.L while the leader on his right chest had the words Sparky. The droids stood tall gun in their hands.
"Well Commander Baan if you would have fired we would have regrettably destroyed you" remarked Sparky.
Vala scoffed she found the droids quite a nuisance, she never understood why Tiberian had accepted them in the first part, she thought her mercenaries and herself were more than capable of protecting Tiberian as well carrying out his orders.
"Well is the perimeter cleared?" she asked in a slight tone of annoyance.
"Oh yes many creatures were slain but your men won’t have to worry about their safety" replied Sparky.
Vala's face was a bright red, "my men are more than capable of protecting both ourselves as well as Lord Coale
Sparky chortled in his automated tone and shook his head, "I am sorry but I must respectfully disagree with you Commander Baan. For if you spoke truth then your master would have had no need to keep us and luckily for your master and your men he did."
