Three Republic star fighters encircled a Republic Senate shuttle as the four ships traveled through hyperspace. Senator Quoll looked out the small porthole on board the republic shuttle trying his best to count all fo the passing stars, anything he could do to keep his mind distracted on where there destination was to be.
“I am sure Quoll that are lives our safe, it would be foolish of him to kill six senators after offering peace between the two planets” said a calm voice. The calming voice turned out to be an aging iridonian who had several horns amassing from his head as well as jet-black hair with a tan complexion.
“Yes senator Haduun but this is the same man who launched a solo assault on the Jedi temple with devastating effects” interjected a slim female Cathar who was coated in sand colored fur.
“What does the republic wish to gain from this summit, I doubt this sith will stop his war or the endless violence which is sure to continue as long as the sith have power” voiced the strong opinion of a Cerean senator, whose skeleton resembled that of a cone with peach colored skin, she was sitting by a small circular table with a Kel Dor senator who like his people when leaving his planet wear protective goggles and breathing mask.
“Well I do not know about you Tabeera but he has some explaining to do after blockading and confiscating several Onderon ships,” said an irate Dirian sitting down on a bench that leaned against the wall by the doorway.
“Ha! I doubt you will mutter three words to him,” taunted the Cerean senator.
“Yea it will be more then what your sleeping partner told him on Corucsant. Oh wait he wasn’t there because he ran away saving himself” retorted Dirian defensively.
“Bajakian is a very important member of the Jedi Council, if we are to defeat the sith we will need Jedi like him” replied the Cerean.
Dirian waved dismissively at her and rolled his eyes, “oh please Qui Di-Choo stop defending him and just move on. I heard that’s what your people do best” teased Dirian.
“That is enough both of you, we need to be united if we are to meet with the sith emperor or he will pick us apart. We are representing the Republic and her people, we could make this war a shorter one but if we continue to bicker then we will be of no use or help to the Jedi or the Republic” spoke the Kel dor senator speaking for the first time. The other senators grudgingly nodded and muttered their approval.
“Senators we are arriving at Coronet” came the pilot’s voice over the intercom.
Quoll turned his attention back to the view-port he still did not understand why the Chancellor chose them to meet with the Sith Emperor. Quoll had been to dozens of summits all around the galaxy but at least then he knew what he was getting into. But the one with this sith it all seemed scary for him, on how they would be greeted or treated as enemies of war. After reading that torturing was common for their enemies, Quoll was having his doubts about agreeing to this summit with the Chancellor but as the ship docked. Quoll took a deep breath walking over to the hatch with the other senators. His only option now was to wait to be greeted by the Sith Empire.

“They are late,” said an irritable and frowning Vala as her and a few Sith officials stood patiently out on an orbiting landing pad where the Republic shuttle was to land. Corellian Breeze was heavy and strong today as Vala did her best to keep her hair out of her face.
“Should I alert the sith emperor of the republic’s tardiness?” asked a young woman dressed in sith official outfit of black and silver.
“No Sienna tell him that they have just arrived and that we shall be around shortly” ordered Vala, Sienna nodded walking off as Vala looked on at the Republic Shuttle which cut through the Corellian Clouds making its decent on the landing platform with its Republic escort fighters surrounding it. Vala and the sith officials approached the republic shuttle as the hatch opened and the loading ramp hissed before slowly descending before the steel ramp clamped down onto the landing pad.
“Welcome to Corellia senators, I am Vala Baan Chancellor of Corellia and we are most honored to have you” said a polite Vala seeing the cluster of senators all walking out together in a tight group.
“You are the one who was in charge of the Onderon blockade, we lost a lot of ships and supplies because of you!” said Dirian angrily unable to control himself ignoring the whispers of protest from his fellow senators.
Vala though looked unfazed by the angry senator’s attack, “yes and if it was not for the emperor himself we would have took Onderon and you sadly would have been put out of a job” replied Vala firmly while still keeping a gentle tone in her voice. Senator Dirian though looked outraged and ready for a reply but senator Haduun elbowed him and he simply lowered his head sulking.
Quoll had been to Coronet many times and looking around at the passing ships and speeders, as well as the people down below all going about their business un harassed by Sith officials or policemen who rarely could be seen on the streets somehow surprised Quoll who was picturing a much different Sith occupied city but perhaps this was just a ruse to fool him and his fellow senators. Looking up at one of the nearby apartments, Quoll noticed a flag propelling in the wind, the navy blue flag at its bottom had an orange fire and above it were three stars all pin pointed and equally apart from t he other lined up. “Chancellor Baan is that the sith flag?” asked Quoll pointing to the flag as now all the senators turned cranking their necks up to see what Quoll was talking about.
“That Senator is the flag of The Imperial Assembly of the Sovereign Sith, the fire represents the passion of its people, a flame that will never be distinguished and the stars represent the chief founders, M4-78 to represent the Sra, Korriban to represent the Sith, and Corellia to represent the beginning of a new age” answered Vala proudly bowing her head to the flag for a moment before turning her attention back to the Republic Senators.
“Now we have speeders waiting to take you to the palace, let us go you do not want to be to late” instructed Vala overseeing the senators off of the platform and into two Sith Speeders before jumping into the pilot seat of the first one, and their speeders took flight,on their way to the palace of the emperor.

At the desk of the sith emperor Tiberian Coale were a handful of holograms all waiting patiently to give their reports to Lord Coale. Tiberian sighed rubbing his forehead with his hand, lord Coale had to abandon his military leadership to help oversee his new sith government but the reports that continued to come in, were not making Tiberian’s choice look like the right one. “Will you please repeat what you have just?” asked an annoyed Tiberian.
The hologram of the sith officer looked to be trembling, “my lord the Republic have pushed us back off of several key planets along the inner and mid rim. And their numbers only seem to be increasing” informed the officer.
Tiberian could sense the fear in his tone it was reek with it. “I see, well this is disappointing since I was told by my officers that they would be able to further advance in these regions” commented a frustrated Tiberian.
“We thought so my lord but their numbers did surprise us” but the officer stopped seeing that the sith emperor had rose his hand.
“Enough! I will send you proper plans and strategy, you will execute them in all details understood?” asked Tiberian calmly.
The sith officer nodded and bowed, “yes my lord” he replied and he disappeared.
“Master I however have good news we have been able to take a series of republic trading routes along the mid and outer rim. The many Jedi however who lost the most recent battle, were seen and sighted fleeing to the expansive regions and we traced their signal to Cathar, shall we pursue master?” asked Sparky.
“Finally some good news, I know you would not fail me Sparky, no the routes were what we needed and we were able to capture them. Do not pursue to Cathar, it is a neutral planet, they must make up their own mind if they do not turn the Jedi away then we will have a potential problem, continue with the plan Sparky” ordered Tiberian seeing the image of his sith console salute before fading.
“Lord Coale pressing matters involving Bespin, our latest sith spies have informed us that Bespin was sold to the Republic by an alien wielding a lightsaber” informed a sith knight who was dressed in the black robes of his fellow clone brethren.
“What species?” asked Tiberian calmly at this bit of bad news.
“We are not sure but we believe with information given to us by the SRA that he is nautolan a very small one” informed the sith knight.
“Well this is one alien I would like to meet, have him monitored at all times and alert me of his whereabouts,” ordered Tiberian.
“It will be done my lord” replied the sith knight who bowed his head and his hologram disappeared as well.
“My lord as you requested Korriban once again is abandoned and desolate, everything from the academies have been removed to Corellia. Our ships, our resources, our materials all have been relocated to various colonies and planets. Your Citadel has been modified so even if the Jedi land on Korriban and can find your citadel it is impossible for them to get in my lord” informed a sith general.
At this Tiberian simply nodded watching the general bow and his to hologram disappeared leaving only himself and his apprentice Argon, who he purposely waited to talk to last. “So Argon my sith scouts tell me that the republic forces at Reemin were decimated and only one republic corvette was able to escape. Well done my padawan you have proven to be a formable sith console, now let me see your reward, hold up the saber of the Jedi master you killed,” ordered Tiberian.
Argon was hesitant to reply to his master’s compliment as well as his order, “Master the jedi escaped onto the Corvette, they arrived seconds before I could kill him” admitted Argon slowly.
A look of disappointed appeared on the sith emperor’s face as he shook his head, “I see were you taunting and playing with your victim instead of just ending his miserable life?” asked Tiberian.
Argon only nodded, “I see padawan it seems you are not ready then,” commented a disenchanted Tiberian.
“Master I am ready to be a sith lord, if you just--” but Argon stopped seeing that his master wanted to speak.
“No Argon you will remain on Reemin until I can figure out what you actually are capable of doing for me in this war. While you wait, you will call upon all of the Shadows and prepare them, train them, recruit others within the moon. That I am afraid is the only suitable assignment I can give you for now, do you understand?” asked Tiberian.
“Yes my master” replied Argon bowing his head and the last of the holograms had disappeared leaving a very tired but concentrated sith lord to his thoughts. Tiberian did not get to enjoy his thoughts in silence for very long as a hologram of his secretary appeared, “Lord Coale, Chancellor Baan and the republic senators have arrived” informed the secretary.
Tiberian nodded, “let them in” he said standing from his desk to preparing to meet his guests.

The doors of the Sith lord’s room opened just as Tiberian was about to open them, Chancellor Baan was first through the door bowing to Tiberian as the six senators shuffled in close group behind. All seemed to be looking around and all had surprised faces of the nicely decorated sith office, “what were you expecting piles of corpses and blood stained walls?” asked Tiberian jokingly seeing the senators dismayed expressions. “It is pleasure that you were able to come, I am Lord Coale emperor of the Sith assembly” he said very politely extending his hand for the senators to shake.
“Nice to meet you Lord Coale” Quoll said surprised at being the first to shake the very firm and strong grip of the Sith Emperor.
“Please call me Tiberian, we are equals” corrected Tiberian soon shaking the hands of the other senators. “Now please, please right this way,” said Tiberian leading the still dumbfounded senators to an ebony circular table where eight seats were waiting with Tiberian being the last to sit down, sitting next to Vala and senator Quoll.
“I must say Tiberian that Coronet looks more peaceful and beautiful then I ever remembered” complimented senator Haduun who was sitting across from Tiberian.
“The praise must go to the lovely chancellor Vala Baan she is the who oversees the city and the planet” corrected and complimented Tiberian turning to see a smile from his sith console.
“The true thanks should go to the people, they have put in the most effort, this is why Corellia is such a wonderful planet, the ambition and the diligence of her people” informed Vala.
“Well I hope Tiberian that you did not call us here so that we may talk about Coronet’s apparent beauty? We were told by the chancellor that you had more diplomatic desires” spoke the brash Tabeera who ignored the looks of her fellow senators, and wanted to discuss what ever the sith lord wanted to discuss and then leave, she did not want to linger.
Tiberian smiled, “you do your people proud senator, just like a politician straight to the point. Not needing any pleasantries to be exchanged, because what if something terrible happened such as we actually began to like and respect the other. (Tiberian shook his head) No we would not want that, once an enemy always an enemy, you are a Cathar right senator so I suppose that you were voted from the planet Cathar?” asked Tiberian.
“Yes you see Tiberian, Senator Tabeera is the first senator to represent the Cathar in the new republic” commented Haduun and Tabeera modestly nodded.
“I see then I am confused, your planet is the in republic but you do not support the war?” asked Tiberian.
“Yes Tiberian, why do my people’s choices and their alignments matter to you? We are but a simple people” answered Tabeera.
Tiberian shook his head, “now senator do not sell your people short, I have heard valiant stories of your people’s bravery in battle. As well as knowing many of your people have made exceptional Jedi Masters and knights. I ask these simple questions senator because if one declares themselves neutral then they should act accordingly. Being a sith one of the things I hate is being lied to, to look a fool to show mercy on a neutral planet before finding out that planet has in fact been helping my enemy. No, no you see it just won’t do, not with such an important war to be won,” answered Tiberian in an intimidating manner.
Tabeera moved uncomfortably within her chair and turned away from the sith lord, she knew of what he was talking about and after hearing him speak. She decided it would be better if she simply let the others talk for now.
“Well Tiberian we must say that your proposal of the Corucsant- Corellia Pact took all of us by surprise” admitted the Kel dor senator politely.
Tiberian smiled and bowed his head respectfully to the senator, “thank you I am honored to see that it was voted on and passed by the republic senate. It seems that nobility and honor still reside within the republic after hearing tales and stories of downright corruption, it is good to see that you still represent the people who voted for you, instead of big businesses and corporations” replied Tiberian.
“Senator Loon does not voice all of our opinions, you believe that this one act should assert a new viewpoint on your people. The sith have launched wars upon us from then shadows killing both civilian and soldiers who stand in their way for thousands and thousands of years, and you dare question the integrity of the republic! Declaring corruption within our own walls just so that you may shift opinions and views away from blood stained hands and that by declaring this act. Your people have miraculously changed no I am sorry Tiberian but I am not so naïve” retorted Qi Di-Choo.
Tiberian turned the Cerean senator looking slightly amused, brushing off her radical words and judgments on who he and his people were. Tiberian was use to making people believe in his cause he has been doing for nine years. “Finished are we senator? My I must have touched a nerve speaking about corruption I hope that your rant was simply out of love for your republic and not guilt of what you have done with the power of the republic” responded Tiberian calmly placing his hands upon the table on top of one another.
“You did not touch a nerve Tiberian,” said Qui Di-Choo bluntly.
“Well then my apologies senator, but if I may ask how do you know of my people?” asked Tiberian.
“The Jedi have long recorded your actions with senators at one point were allowed to access part of their archives. Well that was until you and your armies stole all of their knowledge and destroyed the temple” answered an audacious Qui Di- Choo.

“Well I am only borrowing them and to be fare all of their information on Corucsant temple could be found on their sister temple on Yavin. The Temple had to be destroyed you see it stood symbolizing all that of the legalisms and their codes stand for!” said Tiberian angrily pounding his fist into the table, as the table shook from the mere might of the sith lord’s might. Looking at his fist that dented the table and then to the shocking expressions of the senators, Tiberian politely smiled, pushing his chair away from the table, allowing himself to stand up.
“The Jedi are our enemy, with no trial or any chance for my people to defend their choice they were all exiled. All they tried to do was to bring new ideas to the order, but no they saw us as a threat to their power. Where we were forced to fend for ourselves on desolate planets such as Korriban. Yes my people have waged war on the republic but our intent was never to hurt the republic, but to get justice from what the Jedi had done to us. Look around senators, at my city at my people, these are not actors, these are not tricks, these are not mirages. This is who the sith are and who we want to be, that is why I proposed the act that I did” Tiberian paused and momentarily stopped his short pacing, to see that he was being given all of the senator’s attention, putting his hands behind his back he continued.
“I am not surprised that you have your suspicions you have been fed many lies by the Jedi and only now are we able to sort out what is true and not true. The republic can stand without the Jedi, but the jedi cannot exist without the Republic this is why they tell you lies about my people. As you can see plainly before you that we need neither of you to exist and live successful lives but I am sure that even if I were to have never landed on Corucsant, once the jedi found out that we have surfaced they would have ordered you to go to war against us, that you know is the truth. The Jedi are desperate to hold on to the power that you have bestowed upon them and will not let anything stand in their way of keeping it! They preach about not allowing attachments but if you cut away from them, I am sure that they would forcibly put the two together, even if it meant putting the jedi in charge of the republic!” Tiberian enunciating the dramatically heightening his tone during his rant
“That is why I have arranged this meeting, to offer you a chance to end this war with only one agreement. Join us, turn your backs against the Jedi and let us finish what we have started thousands of years ago and war will end, and the way of the Jedi will soon follow. These battles this war is not between sith soldiers and republic fighters it was war being strewed in the force between the Jedi and the sith, and this war will not end until one of them comes to and end. The Jedi do not care how much the Republic sends, how much the Republic sacrifices, how much the Republic looses, as along as the Jedi survive they are contempt, and tell you to be to. I beseech end this one way relationship now and save millions of lives, the decision is between you few individuals” Tiberian finished his passionate speech of reason, as he gave another charming smile before he slowly sat back down to see Vala smile briefly before turning to face the senators as did Tiberian. He could have predicted their dumb founded expressions, jaws on the table, tongues hanging out in disbelief it seemed that none of them had even thought of this possibility or this from the sith emperor.
Senator’s Quoll mind was racing trying to connect all of this information that he had just heard together, wondering if he had heard right, cut ties with Jedi and back the sith. Was he serious bit briskly looking up Quoll could see the calm demeanor that the sith emperor gave and Quoll had a feeling that he was in deed serious about his request.
“The Jedi have stood for the Republic for thousands of years, and you simply want us to step aside and watch as you obliterate the peaceful warriors, some of whom are our friends?” came Senator Haduun calming but yet confused voice.
“We will give them the option of joining my cause and if in their pride they still refuse, they will go on trial and then the people shall decide their fate,” responded Tiberian.
“Some of what the sith emperor speaks is true, I cannot believe I am agreeing but it does feel that the jedi do act on selfish impulses from time and time and that if the sith assembly were to continue without ever starting a war, the jedi would ask us to start one. With no reason, only because they are sith” commented the voice of Dirian who seemed puzzled of how he was agreeing with this.
“Dirian you cannot be serious? These are sith, we have all heard their stories of blood lust and endless battles” reasoned Tabeera.
“Yes but he is right from whose perspective? The Jedi. Maybe the emperor is speaking the truth I look around and I do not see violent sith warriors, I see people going about their business, maybe it is the Jedi who are now in the wrong” defended Dirian.
“The Jedi are bound to one law! Defend the republic! That is all they do and that is all they will do, I would not be able to face myself again if I even pondered these thoughts” replied Tabeera.
“Defend the republic? Are you sure that is what they are doing senator? Perhaps it is not to defend but to manipulate the Republic,” corrected a polite Tiberian. Who had been enjoying the senators debating one another, it seemed that they were not as unified as they bragged to be. Another flaw from the republic that Tiberian would make sure that he would exploit.

“Manipulation is best used by sith, Tiberian” snapped Tabeera in a rude and angry voice.
Vala came her to her feet at once, “how dare you talk to the sith emperor in such a manner in his own palace when he has treated you like friends and not enemies! You will tame that tongue senator or I will be forced to rip it out,” warned a fiery Vala.
A grin came across Tiberian’s face that he hid well from the senators, sitting in his seat he simply put his arm on Vala’s shoulder without saying a word and she slowly sat back down, her attention focused on the tabletop. “Would your people die defending the Jedi senator?” Tiberian asked the Cathar senator remembering what Sparky had informed him on, about the Cathar people sheltering Jedi from sith detainment.
“My duty as senator is to defend any one who serves the republic” answered Tabeera quickly but never making eye contact with the Sith emperor.
“We will see how far your loyalties will be stretched within this war senator,” commented Tiberian in passing before turning to the senators who had yet to voice their opinions.
“So if we refuse your offer, then this war will continue?” asked senator Loon.
Tiberian gave a somber nod, “ I am afraid so senator, you see the jedi do not trust us, even if I were to ponder drawing back my forces. I swear on my title that within a year the Jedi will ask you to invade my people, deceive you about one fallen sith just so that they could try to finish us off. Millions of lives can be saved by your decision I have done my best to try to preserve them by creating the Corellia-Corucsant pact but I can do only so much” responded Tiberian.
“Tiberian I hope you know that you ask is no simple yes or no question, even if we radically did agree to stop supporting the Jedi. An act such as this would have to be passed in the senate, and I must assure you that there is no possibility of this happening. We did not come here to discuss betraying the Jedi, we came here hoping to draw a peace agreement” spoke the reasonable and well respected Senator Haduun.
“Is that not what I have just offered you?” asked a puzzled Tiberian, “I have given you a simple proposal, that would end this war for the republic, it seems now that the republic is in means of holding up this war, which will have high casualties on both sides sadly” was the calculated answer given by Tiberian.
“I would not call your proposal simple, Tiberian we have given you an answer on it, now if we may continue with talks of peace” pressed senator Loon.
Tiberian chuckled softly while shaking his head, “just the answers I was sadly expecting from politicians who have been warped by corruption and their love for power. You do your people no good! And as that fair man that I am I will tell the public that I offered terms of peace, and that the republic senators blinded by personal matters, sadly refused. Then we shall see how many more empty seats the Senate has when more planets will come and join my resolve” spoke the cunning sith emperor.
The senators could not believe the vale threat that he gave to them, trading baffled and concerning looks with one another, it seemed none of them could find their voice or answer worthy enough to change the mind of the sith emperor. “You cannot do that!” said an immature Tabeera standing up from her table, her hunting instincts flushing through her mind, claws attached to the table, her glare set on the sith emperor.
Tiberian simple gave the Cathar senator, a slight entertaining head turn, “My senator, you have left me no choice, now I will advise you to report back to the chancellor and the people who represent you, to make sure they hear your sad side of such an important matter” responded Tiberian.
“If you think that people will actually be convinced by your words and your testimony, then you will not last long as sith emperor” threatened Tabeera but as the words escaped her mouth, she felt a sudden force so powerful wrap itself around her throat and begin to squeeze tightly, she quickly clawed at her attacker but their was no hand, looking forward to see Tiberian, sitting down peacefully his hands before the table, giving a slightly concerned look, while the screaming of her fellow senators, their pleas could be heard echoing in the sith emperor’s office.
Tabeera’s coughs became more violent, even though their was no hand, she continued foolishly trying to force herself away from this suffocating grip and then as sudden as it had started it stopped and she fell backward out of her chair.
“I think it is time that you leave, Chancellor Baan make sure that they are returned safely to their ship. It has been a pleasure meeting all of you, and I am rather sorry about your anxiety attack senator, I hope that you will be well enough to travel back to Corucsant” said Tiberian slowly standing up, his figure towering over the other senators who had gathered around their friend and colleague to see if she was alright.
“You tried to kill her!” blamed Qui Di-Choo
“If my master wanted her dead, we would be carrying her corpse out now” replied Vala firmly watching as Dirian and Quoll help pick up the ailing Tabeera and led her out of Tiberian’s office.
“Pathetic, I barely touched her” he said to himself in disgust before walking back to his desk, and pulling out the files of the Assembly meeting.
